About Carrie Fell
Acrylic painting, mixed media and giclée
Since 1988, Fell’s self-discovered technique has continually led her to choose cowboys and cowgirls as her favorite subject, with watercolors, acrylic and oil. As she prepares for various shows, Carrie considers her subject matter and how best to present it for her audience.
A Colorado native, Carrie Fell’s style depicts the traditional icons of the Old West with a thoroughly modern twist using vibrant colors, appropriate use of negative space and fluid forms. This is the New West—the west as a “state of mind”—a place of change with an attitude of boldness and energy. “I want my art to play a personal role in people’s lives. If a painting moves you at some deeper level, then I have reached my goal.”
Carrie participates in various art invitationals and charity benefits annually. Carrie dedicates her life to her paintings and all who know her look with anticipation to the next glimpse of the Wild West through her perceptive eye.
