|Remingtonā€™s Mountain Man|
|Size:||30" x 24"|
"I try to find an artifact to start my paintings."
In this painting Sabatino found a Remington bronze of the "Mountain Man".
"I then looked for something interesting that would tie the painting together." The pen and ink drawing is also by Remington of "The French Trapper" , with rabbit skin and powder horn as well as the beaded bag that would have held shot for the flintlocks. It helped the composition come together. The peace pipe would be used in pow wows. "The San Iidefonso pot was added because it felt right."
