New Community Relations for Sorrel Sky Gallery
SANTA FE, NM: November 4, 2015; Jackie Camborde has joined the team at Sorrel Sky Gallery, 125 West Palace Ave. She will be in charge of Community Relations for the gallery. “We are a fairly new gallery space in Santa Fe, and it’s important to raise our profile in the community,” Camborde says, “Owner Shanan Campbell Wells and her team have created something really special in Durango and hope to do the same here in Santa Fe – I am excited to be on board to help this become a reality.”
Camborde has lived in Santa Fe since 1993. In that time, her career has been a mix of nonprofit and for-profit ventures - she was most recently Director of Development at Lensic Performing Arts Center. She also held positions at the Museum of NM Foundation, Audubon-NM, and the Santa Fe Opera. She is the former owner of Sante Studio, a fitness and yoga studio in Eldorado. During her tenure as a fitness professional she presented workshops nationally for several companies including AFAA and Resist-a-Ball. Camborde has written articles for such publications as IDEA Fitness Journal, ZLife and Shape Magazine.
“It’s exciting to be pairing my passion for fine art and design with my networking and community building skills. I believe Sorrel Sky is the premier gallery in Santa Fe and has so much potential for growth,” Camborde says, “My connectedness to a variety of communities within Santa Fe - nonprofit board members and donors, business people, families and individuals, politicians - will greatly aid our efforts in raising Sorrel Sky’s profile and create more awareness for who we are and what we do.”
Sorrel Sky Gallery’s fresh approach to Western art presents a select collection of contemporary and traditional fine art and jewelry for the discerning collector. Sorrel Sky Gallery was founded in Durango, CO in 2002 and opened its Santa Fe, NM location in 2014. It represents over 75 painters, sculptors and jewelers including bronze artist Star Liana York, painter Billy Schenck, and Ben Nighthorse, among others.
