Jenny Floravita - Shining a Little Light!

By Margaret Hedderman

Jenny Floravita literally shines a little light of life into every room! Each of her handcrafted chandeliers and table lamps are intricately adorned with exotic flowers and tropical birds. Jenny's vibrance and love of life are beautifully conveyed in every piece.

Jenny has been an artist almost since the day she was born. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jenny was actively involved in art, music and dance. She won several California Governor's Medallions and California State Seals for both art and dance. However, since 2000 Jenny has channeled her skills and talent into her fine art business.

Jenny has a hand in every part of the creation process. She both hand cuts and slumps the glass and forges the decorative steel fixture in each of her chandeliers. The painting process is even more impressive. Using the reverse  painting technique, Jenny literally has to think backwards as she paints her detailed and vibrant designs. Normally, when painting on a canvas, the painter will work her way forward, but Jenny must lay down the colors you see first and then work her way to the background.

Not only is Jenny endlessly creative, she is also incredibly easy to work with! 60% of her pieces are actually commissions. Jenny will work with her customers and allow them to have a creative hand in the entire process - almost as though they're creating their own work of art! We have several of her chandeliers, both large and small, as well as her table lamps. They are truly a beautiful asset to our gallery!
