"Sheryl and Miles come from such different artistic directions. But they each create very contemporary, even edgy, designs and imagery while incorporating cultural and historical elements in their work." - Shanan Campbell Wells
Sorrel Sky Gallery is very pleased to announce the representation of two new artists. Jewelry designer Sheryl Lowe creates wearable art that easily transitions from day to night, from ripped jeans to the red carpet. Fine art photographer Miles Glynn goes beyond documenting scenes, presenting his interpretation of them.

Sheryl Lowe began designing her uniquely personal jewelry pieces in 2006, creating meaningful gifts of love and appreciation for friends and family. These first pieces were crafted in Sheryl's home out of rare beads, gemstones and spiritual symbols she had collected over years of traveling for her work in the movie business. From there, Sheryl Lowe Designs was founded and quickly blossomed into a successful international enterprise. Many of the materials that Sheryl hand selects are sourced from remote regions, creating pieces which cannot be replicated. These pieces capture the essence and spirituality of the cultures that she has encountered. “When I am traveling with my family I’m always on a treasure hunt looking for unique beads that I know my customer will love and adore as much as I do. I look for elements that are beautiful but imperfect; stones that have character." With a degree in art and an eye for design, Sheryl first found success as a top Hollywood make-up artist, before turning her creative vision to high-end interior design (featured on the cover of Architectural Digest, Veranda, and California Homes). She has been married to actor Rob Lowe for over twenty-five years, with whom she has two sons. She lives and works in Santa Barbara, California.
"Beyond merely documenting these scenes, I instead aim to present my interpretation of them." - Miles Glynn
Bison No 2 by Miles Glynn
Miles Glynn is an American artist residing in Bozeman, Montana. The son of a U.S. Army photojournalist, Miles spent his formative years tagging along with his father on photo assignments and learning the science and art of developing photographs in the dark room. These early experiences and memories forged what would become driving forces in Miles' personal and professional life: the joy of exploring our vast country, the solace found in simple moments on the open road, the drive to constantly move toward the next bend and beyond. “Beyond merely documenting these scenes, I instead aim to present my interpretation of them. And herein lies the art - the depiction of something striking yet soothing, familiar yet curious, something nobody else at the same scene could have envisioned.” In Wallflower Series Miles combines photographs he takes of animals and vintage wallpapers. He travels to abandoned homesteads and gritty ghost towns to photograph these exquisite wallpapers - these glorious relics of an effort made by people who wished to enjoy a simple bit of beauty inside their dwelling on the harsh and hostile American frontier. Although time has had its way with these buildings, he takes comfort in helping the grace and grandeur of these relics to live on.
Owner Shanan Campbell Wells expressed her excitement in having these two artists join the gallery. “Sheryl and Miles come from such different artistic directions. But they each create very contemporary, even edgy, designs and imagery while incorporating cultural and historical elements in their work. I’m thrilled to have them with us at Sorrel Sky!”
