Durango and Santa Fe galleries to offer weekend courses in a variety of media for all skill levels
DURANGO, Colo.: December 2, 2015; Sorrel Sky Gallery announces its 5th Annual Artists Workshop Series with eight intensive weekend workshops offered at its galleries located in Durango, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Workshops include offerings by master artists in a variety of media and techniques designed for those new to art making as well as skilled artists. Workshops are conducted in a small group environment to facilitate personalized instruction.
Sorrel Sky Gallery in Durango will host six workshops through April. The workshop series begins on February 5, 6 and 7 with Painting Animals with Emotion taught by animal portraitist Linda St. Clair, who will offer instruction in value, color and brushwork to bring the personality of each animal alive.

On February 19, 20 and 21, painter Bonnie Conrad, OPA will offer Painting Real Life. Conrad is a signature member of Oil Painters of America, American Plains Artists and American Women Artists.
On March 5 and 6, Mimi Bonkowske will offer Weaving Baskets using pine needles.
On April 8, 9 and 10, painter and popular instructor Edward Aldrich returns to teach Painting Wildlife.
The 2016 workshop series concludes with The Basics of Landscape Painting taught by Stephen Day held on April 22, 23 and 24, 2016.
Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe will host two workshops in March. On March 5 and 6, award-winning Navajo jeweler Ray Tracey will offer Jewelry Making. On March 18, 19 and 20, oil painter Peggy Immel will offer Elements of Landscape Painting.
