Landscapes, Street Scenes and the Figure in the Landscape to be focus of three-day workshop
DURANGO, Colo.: January 28, 2016; Sorrel Sky Gallery will host the workshop, Landscapes, Street Scenes and the Figure in the Landscape, with painter Sharon Abshagen on Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13, 2016. Abshagen will guide the aspiring painter through the ‘nuts and bolts’ process of creating a painting, helping each student to paint the world they see through their own eyes. If weather permits, the third day of the workshop will be spent outdoors painting en plein air. Offering individualized instruction, Abshagen will assist each participant with improving technique, taking a painting to the next level, and learning the art of self-critique. Designed for the beginner to more experienced painters, the cost is $260 for the three-day workshop.
