Location:  Durango, Colorado

Dates:  March 31 - April 2, 2023; 10AM - 4PM each day

Sometimes the key to success is to loosen up! This workshop focuses on how to get buildings 'right' without getting them tight. Lyn will guide students in improving on 8 skills to help harmonize buildings with the surrounding landscape and give them that 'ring of truth.' 

1. How to set your intent and choose your subject.
2. Handling implied detail.
3. Designing your light and shadow patterns.
4. Brush handling to accomplish both energy and correctness.
5. Understanding the underlying perspective.
6. Choosing the time of day and how to infuse the scene with the color of the light.
7. Creating textures and patterns.
8. Techniques for architectural details. 
   

 Bring your questions, your curiosity, and some thoughts about what you’ve been most wanting to improve! This class is designed to be helpful for all levels.
