Original Bronze by Star York
The very earliest fossil of an equine was found in China only about 3 decades ago. At only 24" high, the skeleton shows how much the equine species has evolved over the several million years to the modern horse we know. Referred to as "Dawn Horse", this fossil appeared to me to have so much life in it's gesture. Tho frozen in time for thousands of centuries, it is a reminder of how life goes on, ever changing to meet the demands of survival. The Chinese character I chose to be above my version of this ancient fossilized equine means "life going on forever"
