The introductory sale is from the private collection of Aline Randle. Aline’s love of art began early in life, visiting museums and galleries with her mother and grandmother. Surrounding herself with art seemed the natural thing to do. Over the years she has done just that, selecting pieces that she enjoyed, pieces that pleased her, that she wished to spend time with. In her words, “If it pleased me and I wanted to see if every day, I bought it. I never bought with the view to making an investment, it was what I liked. It didn’t matter who the artist was, what the piece was, or how it was executed, if I liked it, I bought it.” This eclectic collection includes works from several well known artists from coast to coast and throughout the Southwest and West, such as Frank Applegate, Albert Krehbiel, Chenoweth Hall, Kevin Red Star and more. Many artists in this collection are considered trailblazers in the development and establishment of art communities and movements, as well as preservation societies.
