The ancient Greek culture of Mycenae revered the Bull, and thought of the bull’s horns as being consecrated. They cultivated the dangerous art of “Bull Dancing”, where young athletes would go into the area with a bull, and when the bull charged, leapt over the bull by grabbing the horns and thrusting themselves in a somersault over the length of the galloping bull.
