Info: image of the riders is from a vintage Western book. The wording and phrases are all excerpts from the journal of Texas drover Jack Bailey. His journal of a cattle drive he was on from Texas to Kansas in 1868 is the earliest known record of daily life on cattle drives. The original journal is now part of the collection of the National Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma City.
