Sketch of High Country
The spontaneous use of the line, the stroke, and the paint itself, makes for a distilled depiction of the landscape.
b.1931- Write graduated from Yale Music and Art School, Albright Art School and the Brooklyn Museum School. He creates landscapes, abstracts, and figures in oil, acrylic and watercolor from his studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Although he suffered a stroke in 1998, which left him legally blind in one eye, he is still actively painting new works.
