“It gives me great joy to know that little bits of my inspiration will be worn and cherished by many; and hopefully passed on from generation to generation…” - Maria Goler Baca
Maria de la Paz Goler was born on March 10,1962 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her father Gustavo Emilio, mother Ana Maria and brother Gustavo Victor, moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1970.
Her parents were artists looking for a beautiful place to raise their two young children. They chose New Mexico for its history, culture, beauty and diversity. Victor and Maria continue to reside in Northern New Mexico and are carrying on their family’s artistic heritage.
Maria graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1983 with a Bachelor Degree of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Modern and Classical Languages. Her passion for languages led her to explore other means of expression and communication.
