Challenging the status quo of perception, Reine River's work is bold, nontraditional, evocative, and continually evolving.
Born in France and raised in USA, River grew up on her father’s ranch in Southern California, soaking up rodeos, ranch life, Western influences. She has an MFA, from Otis Art Institute, in Los Angeles, California. Her works are a blend of surrealism and Western art, inspired by rural life, ranch, rodeo, travel, as well as elements and textures of her own city life and more.
