Absaroka

Photograph on canvas, Edition of 10, 36" x 72", floater frame

 This is an image shot at a ranch near Jackson, Wyoming. The group of horses were being moved by wranglers from one paddock to another. I positioned myself so the background was a cluster of trees in the background that were in deep shade with the light coming from behind. I underexposed in order to capture the highlights on the horses backs. I then carefully darkened the background so it was completely black, to make an even more dramatic image.
