Photograph on Canvas with Floater Frame
edition of 10, 40" x 40"
This was photographed in Galisteo, New Mexico, just outside my hometown of Santa Fe. Sapphire is her real name, and she is part quarter horse, part Arabian. She is a fiery spirit of a horse that puts on a good show. The hardest thing in photographing this young mare is tracking her with the camera and lens. She is so fast, that I could hardly keep up. I was lucky enough to capture the moment when she flew by with her neck arched and her mane flying.
