I gave this piece the title because it embodies so much about Portugal… the stallion with his arched neck and flying mane, the whitewashed walls, the sunshine. The Portuguese are very proud of their horses, and the Portuguese horses reflect the love and care they are given. I gave this one a sepia tone because it seemed to fit the timeless nature of the ancient bond between humans and horses in this beautiful country.
