Indian Market represents one of the most anticipated, dynamic, and inspiring weekends of the summer, and it never disappoints! This August 14-17, we're thrilled to transform our downtown Santa Fe location at 125 W. Palace Ave. into a vibrant celebration of artistic innovation and cultural heritage.
For our 12th consecutive year participating in the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market, we've curated an extraordinary lineup that reflects our unwavering commitment to beauty, excellence, and inspiration. This exceptional four-day celebration showcases the passion and integrity that define our carefully selected artists, with special exhibitions continuing through August 31.
August 14, 5-7:30 PM — Nighthorse Jewelry
Begin your Indian Market weekend with us as we present the extraordinary Nighthorse jewelry collection—a groundbreaking cultural initiative that represents something unprecedented in the art world. As the exclusive representative of this remarkable collection, Sorrel Sky Gallery showcases a unique multigenerational collaboration between gallery owner Shanan Campbell, her son Luke Longfellow, and her father, legendary former U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
Ben Nighthorse Campbell, who served as the only Native American in Congress during his tenure (U.S. House 1987-1993, U.S. Senate 1993-2005), has been an accomplished jewelry artist since childhood. Learning the craft at age 12 from his father, Albert Campbell, a Northern Cheyenne descendant, Ben Nighthorse has won over 200 national and international awards for his innovative designs. His multicultural approach combines his Native American ancestry with Japanese sword-making techniques, creating pieces that bear his signature "Morning Star" symbol—authorized by the Northern Cheyenne tribe.
Today, more than 25 celebrities, including Mick Jagger and Robert Redford own one-of-a-kind Nighthorse pieces, as do several United States presidents. This collaboration with Shanan Campbell and Luke Longfellow ensures this extraordinary artistic legacy continues while honoring its deep cultural roots.
August 15, 5-7:30 PM — All Artist Group Show
