Nayla Shami Trunk Show at Sorrel Sky Gallery, Santa Fe

Sorrel Sky Gallery is pleased to present a trunk show featuring jewelry designer Nayla Shami on Friday, December 5, from 5 to 7 pm at 125 W. Palace Avenue. Shami will be available for private appointments on Saturday, December 6, and her work will remain on view through Sunday, December 7.

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO – Born and raised on the shores of the Mediterranean in Beirut, Lebanon, Shami practiced law before moving to the high plains of West Texas to start her family and begin her jewelry business. Her unique pieces reflect this journey, merging the clear blue water and cool palette of Mediterranean beaches with the wide-open spaces and stunning sunsets of West Texas.

Shami designs and handcrafts most of her pieces at her bench in Lubbock, Texas. Select original designs are produced in collaboration with master jewelers in Beirut, artisans chosen personally by Shami, whose craft is founded upon generations of metalwork and stone-setting expertise. Each piece is wrought with metals and gemstones of the highest grades, crafted to be worn and enjoyed for a lifetime.

Her collection ranges from whimsical motifs—birds, bees, and cherries—to elegant turquoise cabochon designs and champagne diamond creations that capture both the sparkle of the Mediterranean sun and the expansive beauty of the American West.
