Louise Yazzie uses this classic color palette wether she weaves a Storm Pattern or Ganado Red style rug. This Storm has all of the designs elements one wants in this pattern that comes from Crystal area of the Navajo Nation. The story goes that in the center of the weaving we have center earth from which comes the lightening and thunder to the four sacred mountain ranges. Louise also has the waterbugs, centipedes and feathers for protection. We all love a good storm and the Navajo people always need a good rain.
