Gathering

“Gathering” was shot at at a ranch in Wyoming, not far from Jackson Hole. A group of horses was in a large paddock early in the morning. I had the wranglers help to cluster the horses tightly, and I had them drive a pickup truck into the paddock where I was able to stand in the bed of the truck and shoot a little downward. What makes this shot work for me is the feeling of a “gathering”, like family. I also loved the light from behind.
