"This photoshoot was done early in the morning at the San Diego Spanish Mission complex. I love contrasts. There are many here. The contrast of the bright sun and the model’s dark Hollywood era features, the contrast between the smooth brushwork and the bold kaleidoscope of the tree behind her, the contrast between the light and shadows. People talk of falling in love at first sight, and I imagine this could be one of those moments … she turns and sees someone for the very first time and falls in love"
