“Little Odd Tonto”
The majority of vessels from
Arizona’s Tonto Basin area
are large storage ollas or
bowls. While sporting their
classic designs in black and
white on red slip, this appears
to be a seed jar. The small
opening is easily sealed, and
looped handles for
suspending the contents are
very unique to this area.
