Aimée’s current avian paintings were inspired by learning how listening to birdsong can trigger an almost instant shift in our nervous systems, activating what scientists call the parasympathetic response—our body's natural "rest and digest" mode.

Birdsong carries the acoustic signature of tranquility that our ancestors evolved to recognize as peaceful, telling our brains that we’re in a safe, natural environment.

Even a brief encounter with these natural sounds can interrupt the cycle of stress and rumination that often dominates our daily mental landscape. Like a reset button that’s accessible through something as simple as stepping outside and listening to the world wake up around us.
