“Touches of Turquoise”
On this ancient table, retaining
traces of blue-green paint, stands
a stately Hopi jar. Encircled by a
1930’s turquoise-studded Navajo
concho belt, they rest on a fine old
Navajo Chief’s blanket, a classic
with bold stripes interspersed with
diamond patterns, yet somewhat
unusual for the turquoise wool
woven in. Yes, it’s hard to escape
the love for that gorgeous color in
the great Southwest!
